When we looked at the telematics landscape in 2016, we saw a fragmented industry filled with generic hardware and clunky software that didn't actually solve business problems. Companies were drowning in data but starving for intelligence.
We realized that true value comes from connecting the dots — from the moment an asset is manufactured to its end of life. So we decided to build a platform that didn't just track location, but actively protected margins, prevented losses, and generated real ROI.
Today, Ajjas is the nervous system for millions of connected assets across India. We're proud of the technology we've built, but we're even prouder of the real-world impact it has on our customers' daily operations.
"We didn't set out to build another tracking company. We set out to give businesses absolute certainty over their operations."
We build hardware that survives the harshest environments and software that never goes down.
Data without insight is noise. Everything we build is designed to trigger specific business actions.
We don't sell devices; we solve problems. Your operational success is the only metric that matters.
Ajjas is an Indian company building connected asset and vehicle intelligence for businesses, working with battery and EV manufacturers, corporate transport teams, rental operators and cold-chain companies since 2016. The company designs and manufactures its own IoT hardware, writes the firmware, and runs the platform the data lands in.
It means the hardware, firmware and platform are built and manufactured by one team rather than assembled from three vendors. In practical terms, when a customer needs a device to behave differently or report something new, that change does not have to travel through a supply chain — which is why the company can take on requirements that do not fit a standard product.
Four, currently: battery and EV manufacturing, corporate employee transport, vehicle rental, and cold chain across FMCG and pharma. They look unrelated but share one problem — a valuable asset goes out into the field and the business loses sight of it. Ajjas also runs a separate consumer tracker business, which operates independently of the B2B platform.
It usually starts with a working conversation about the specific problem rather than a product demo, followed by a limited deployment so the customer sees real data from their own conditions before scaling. Customers most often cite how quickly requirements get customised, and the quality of field support, as the reasons they stayed.
Ajjas is based in Navi Mumbai, with engineering, product and field support teams in India. Customer data is hosted in India, which matters for enterprises with data residency requirements and for lenders working under Indian data protection obligations. Retention periods and access terms are set out in the customer agreement rather than left to assumption.
Yes. Indian Patent No. 540443, granted in May 2024, covers an emergency and critical-scenario detection and communication system for vehicles, registered to HPS Lab Designs Pvt. Ltd., the company behind Ajjas. The hardware carries CE and FCC certification and has been tested by an Indian government laboratory; the company itself is DPIIT-recognised and runs an ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
